Pete McBride is the center manager and treating physical therapist at NovaCare’s Mainville clinic located at 3187 Western Row Road. An accomplished clinician, Pete has more than two decades of success stories treating patients in the outpatient environment. While his extensive experience in the field encompasses a broad spectrum of orthopedic injuries, post-surgical interventions, and treatment of those suffering with vestibular disorders, his true expertise is most evident in the rehabilitation of sports injuries. As a physical therapist and athletic trainer to the US Women’s National Rugby Team for multiple years, as well as being part of the medical staff for the Cincinnati Might Ducks Hockey Team, Pete is proficient in assessing the pathology of sports injuries and adept at identifying training errors and correcting form to prevent further injury. He is passionate about getting all his patients back to their pre-injury level of function and to that end he ensures each program meets all specific goals the individual wishes to attain.
Pete received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lock Haven University Health Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training. He holds a Masters degree in Athletic Training from West Virginia University as well as a Masters in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. Pete has complimented his clinical expertise and formal education with a number of continuing education courses including Manual Therapy of the Upper and Lower Quarter and Biomechanics of Athletic Performance. He is trained in I.A.S.T.M., and certified in the Graston® Technique, an advanced method of soft tissue mobilization to decrease pain and increase function. In addition to his extensive orthopedic experience, Pete also taught for many years for The Preparatory Study Group for Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (O.C.S.).
Pete’s Vision…“My goal is to always exceed my patient’s expectations on a daily basis, striving to be my best. I embrace a lifelong learning approach and stay abreast of advancements in our field and employ the most up to date evidence based practice.”
